the weather in Bogotá has been raining/freezing since last friday, which means i have been restricted to rainy day schedule activities. such activities consist of getting high, drinking fizzy yellow beer, and VISITING AMAZING MUSEUMS!
the Museo Del Oro features the largest/oldest collection of gold in the world. 3500 of it’s pieces were pulled from laguna de guatavita, a crater-esque lake just outside of town where indigenous people practiced pachamama (the act of giving what was taken from mother earth back to her).
